Cyber resilience events for schools

Schools and other education settings across Wales are invited to attend one of two regional cyber resilience events taking place this September.
14 July 2026

Delivered in partnership with the Wales Cyber Resilience Centre (WCRC), Wales Cyber Police Protect Network and Welsh Government, the events will explore the cyber risks facing organisations today and the practical steps that can be taken to improve resilience.

Education settings manage significant amounts of sensitive information and increasingly rely on a range of digital services, systems and third-party suppliers. These events will consider how schools can strengthen their cyber resilience, protect data, and respond effectively to cyber incidents.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from specialists from policing, cyber security and education, covering topics such as:

  • current cyber threats affecting organisations and education settings

  • cyber incident preparedness and response

  • protecting accounts, devices and sensitive information

  • cyber resilience within third-party services and suppliers

  • support, tools and resources available to schools

The events are aimed at school leaders, governors, IT leads, digital leads and others with responsibility for cyber security, safeguarding and digital services within education settings.
