This accessibility statement applies only to the Hwb website https://hwb.gov.wales/
This website is run by the Welsh Government and its suppliers. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:
change colours, contrast levels and fonts
zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
listen to most of the website using a screen reader
We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:
some pages do not have a 'skip to main content' link
some PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
some images do not have appropriate alternative text
text spacing and resizing does not work consistently across all pages

Welsh Government is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.
The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.
Some images do not have appropriate text alternatives. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content).
Some form fields are not properly labelled. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships).
Some pages do not include a mechanism to skip repetitive content. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.1 (Bypass Blocks).
Text resizing and spacing is not consistently supported. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.4.4 (Resize text) and 1.4.12 (Text Spacing).
Some older PDF documents are not fully accessible. We are working to enhance or replace these with accessible HTML content where possible. For legacy documents, fixing all issues would be a disproportionate burden.
Some of our digital learning resources are created using third-party tools such as Articulate. While we aim to ensure this content is as accessible as possible, some interactive elements and media may not fully meet accessibility standards in all cases.
We are working to improve the accessibility of this content and, where possible, provide alternative formats or additional support.
Some additional third-party content and embedded tools may also be outside of our direct control and may not be fully accessible.
We are actively working to improve accessibility across the website. Our current priorities include:
improving alternative text coverage for images
improving keyboard navigation across interactive components
reducing reliance on PDFs and replacing them with accessible web content
Accessibility is considered as part of all new development work and content updates.
