Literature Fires the Imagination: Secondary PL course

During the 2026-27 school year we are hosting a series of Creative Translation Professional Learning courses for primary and secondary teachers in Wales. Each course will take place virtually over three 90-minute after-school sessions led by our expert facilitators, exploring how creative translation can engage learners of every progression step with literary texts in other languages, in alignment with the core purposes and themes of the Curriculum for Wales.

By the end of the course, you will understand how to use tried-and-tested Creative Translation techniques to inspire your learners and support language learning, literacy skills and cultural awareness, while having the skills, tools and confidence to integrate these techniques into your own practice. All of the courses are free to attend.
