Developing resources for Hwb
Guidance on developing and submitting resources for publication on Hwb.
- Part of
8. Welsh language standards
Your resource, including videos, audio clips and all other elements, must:
- meet Welsh language standards
- be developed in both Welsh and English, ensuring both languages are of equal quality and available at the same time
- use the correct terminology that aligns with the Curriculum for Wales framework guidance and BydTermCymru
To comply with Welsh language standards, video content must treat the Welsh language equally to English. This typically involves creating videos in both Welsh and English. Additionally, all videos must include closed captions in the language of the video.
Read the ‘Publishing videos on Hwb’ section for full information on creating videos compliant with the Welsh language standards.
Any document hosted on Hwb must be provided separately in Welsh and English. This includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PDF documents. Bilingual documents are only accepted if they are specifically for developing multilingual skills.
