Analysis of data at the end of Key Stage 4 has shown that performance at mathematics is lower than in English/Welsh first language across all four consortia and all 22 local authorities.

This report supports raising standards of mathematics across Wales by looking at practical examples of good practice in eleven secondary schools whose performance in mathematics is as good or higher than performance in English/Welsh first language, given their free school meal (FSM) levels.
