Teachers and learners in maintained schools in Wales are able to download and install the latest Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Minecraft: Education Edition at no cost on up to 15 devices - through Hwb. 

  • You can install these Microsoft Office applications free on your personal devices (on up to 5 laptop or desktop computers, 5 tablets and 5 smartphones).

    Office 365 is available to all school staff, local authority and regional education consortia Hwb users, governors, supply teachers and learners as part of the Hwb Additional Services.

Warning

You should uninstall any other version of Microsoft Office you have on your device before you begin installation. Make sure you have permission before you begin.

On PCs and Macs

  1. Log into Hwb on your personal device.
  2. Launch Office 365.
  3. Install Office.

On tablets and phones

Simply sign into mobile apps with your Hwb username (e.g. BloggsJ@Hwbcymru.net) and password.

  2. Choose 'Support' and 'Download'.
