This document contains the programmes of study for each key stage, together with attainment targets and level descriptions.
Subject guidance
‘English: guidance for Key Stages 2 and 3’ provides key messages about teaching, learning and progression in English. The material includes profiles of learners’ work at Key Stages 2 and 3, which exemplify the standards set out in the level descriptions and illustrate how to use level descriptions to make best-fit judgements at the end of the key stage.
