Overview
The Welsh Government have been working with Microsoft to ensure our schools can take advantage of the Microsoft Shape the Future programme.
Microsoft’s Shape the Future programme partners with device makers so that more students have access to computing technology. Microsoft then ensures best prices are available for schools on new Windows devices. Further information including a range of example devices can be found in this flyer.
Devices in education
Microsoft’s partners offer all types of devices used for education across a variety of price points, including:

- 2-in-1s and convertibles
- Notebooks
- Desktops and All-in-Ones
How to access the Shape the Future programme
The Welsh Government has secured a central letter of eligibility for all schools in Wales to access these discounted education devices. Please contact the Hwb Service Desk (hwb@gov.wales / 03000 25 25 25) to obtain the LOE number to secure the appropriate discounts before asking for quotes from your device manufacturer. School eligibility will be validated against a Welsh Government maintained school list.
